This
project is what I call "Laundry" art. I went to Hobby Lobby and bought paper
mache letters that spelled out the word laundry. Below is a picture of a paper
mache letter. They are regularly priced around $2.47 each, but I got them on
sale!
Here are the items you will need:
1. Paper
Mache Letters (any word you want)
2. Rust-Oleum Spray Paint. (I used Rust-Oleum Hammered in
Silver)
3. Scotch Mounting
Squares4.
Something to spray paint on
Start in a well ventilated area.
Lay your paper mache letters out and spray paint each side. Let dry.
You might have to do several
coats depending on the color your chose or if you didn't get all the sides
completly covered (you don't have to do the back since you won't see
that).
Once all
sides are completely coated and dry use the Stotch mounting squares and adhere
to the back of each letter. I used at least 2 squares per letter.
Remove the green backing and
adhere to your wall. I used a level to make my letters straight, but you could
position the letters in many different ways. Here is my final product!
